現為太阳集团1088vip研究員、博士生導師、太阳集团app首页血液學研究所副所長。入選2019年“珠江人才計劃”科技創新人才。為國家自然科學基金委會議評審專家；Cell Stem Cell、Cell Research、Nat Communications、Blood 等期刊審稿人，Blood特邀專文評述撰寫人。
研究方向聚焦血管與血液系統發育的譜系規律及調控機制。承擔國家重點研發計劃課題及國家自然科學基金重大項目課題等科研項目。近年來結合系列單細胞技術和精準譜系示蹤策略，刻面了哺乳動物血管系統及包括造血幹細胞在内多種血液譜系發育的全轉錄組表達景觀及發育路徑、重構了哺乳動物血管發育早期動靜脈特化模式、發現生血内皮和發育造血幹細胞的功能異質性、揭示了造血幹細胞發生的長鍊非編碼RNA及RNA剪接等調控新機制。通訊作者（含共同）研究論文發表在 Nature、Nature Immunology、Cell Stem Cell、Immunity、Developmental Cell、Cell Research (5篇)、Science Advances、Nature Communications、Blood (2篇)、Circulation Research等雜志。其中多篇論文配發專文評述、被F1000推薦。科研成果入選《中國2020年度重要醫學進展》、連續兩年(2020 及 2021)入選《中國血液學年度十大研究進屐》，參與合作成果“造血幹細胞的神奇之旅”入選《國家“十三五”科技創新成就展》。
